In my last article I gave my lofty predictions on DJ Moore's stat lines for this upcoming game against the Titans. I also shared that I would take the under. Today, I'll give further thought to the outcome of the game. God I need this game to get here so I can write with less crystal ball.
The Bears are coming in hot with Caleb Williams but he is surrounded by veteran talent. While league statistics favor a Bears loss (the last rookie QB to win their opener was David Carr in 2002 for the Texans) I do think we come out with the win. The Bears are a better team on paper. Granted, games are not played on paper.
I predict a final score of Bears 24 and Titans 17. I would not have fait in Will Levis or the Titan's CB room if I were a Tennessee fan - even with the addition of CB Sneed from the Chiefs, they lack the depth to cover players like Moore and Allen for the Bears. Two of our TD's come from DJ Moore and the other from Williams himself. Yes I am completely ignoring the run game as a scoring factor. I think we utilize passing more than we ever have to build Williams' confidence.
