Welcome to the end of the week. I hope that everyone is clocked out of work and has a beer on deck. On today's Friday Forecast I'll predict how the last half of the regular season will go for our Chicago Bears.
To recap - I have thus far predicted a 6-2 record. Optimistic? Maybe, but, the back half of this season is a meat grinder.
Week 10 - Vs Patriots
Win - The Patriots are BAD. Drake Maye throws three interceptions and the Bears win by 10.
Week 11 - Vs Brown County Football
Loss - A tale as old as time. That team comes into town and although it may look like a close game, they always find a way to win. Always. Jordan Love is gearing up for a season to match what will likely be an enormous contract (as of writing this he is still in negotiations with the front office). Bears lose. Hopefully by not much. 3 points.
Week 12 - Vs Vikings
Win - Minnesota is a team that loves to blitz. Assuming our O-Line actually improves this year, we win the game. Bears by 7.
Week 13 - @Lions
Loss - The Lions have put a lot of thought and money into their secondary offense. Stafford is a seasoned QB and I think HC Dan Campbell lights a fire under this team. Bears lose by 17 points.
Week 14 - @49'ers
Loss - This team is GOOD. While I think we lose this one, I think it'll be a close one and I predict Purdy throws an interception that is returned for a touchdown. Bears scrap it out, but lose by 4.
Week 15 - @Vikings
Win - In fact I think we absolutely pummel this team. Bears win by 17 points.
Week 16 - Vs Lions
Loss - I truly believe the Lions win the division this year. Bears loss, 7 points.
Week 17 - Vs Seahawks
Win - Geno Smith will not be that good this year. I think that Shane Waldron was his "secret sauce". Bears win the game by 4 points.
Week 18 - @Up North Wisconsin
Win - I have absolutely zero rationale for this prediction. I would just like to think that by this point Caleb is just as sick of those nasty colors as we are and he uses this game to show us that the tide is turning against the Packers. Call me a romantic but wouldn't this be a beautiful way to end the season and show the NFC North that we mean business? Bears win by 21 points.
8-9 Record for the 2024 Chicago Bears. I am predicting one more win than our record last year. Without digging into the weeds of the other three NFC North team's schedules, I could see a world in which the order top to bottom is Lions, Packers, Bears, Vikings. Hey, I'll take one spot up from last place. What do you think the Bear's record is at the end of the season? Let me know in the comments below.
Four W’s in back half i see are Patriots, Vikings, Pack and Seahawks. 9-8 for the year. Be happy, very happy with that.
