Welcome to Thirsty Thursday where I'll be posting to the blog from happy hour at a local bar and talking about what I'm "thirsty" to see in the upcoming week and leave it open for everyone to comment on what they want to see this week.
This upcoming week I'd like to see positive reports coming out of Halas Hall in regards to training camp when it kicks off on July 26th. I want to see the team chemistry and I want to see their support of Caleb Williams. I'm not going to expect much until training camp really kicks off in the following weeks but the team is in Lake Forest and they're around each other, I want to see this team really start to come together.
Today's Thirsty Thursday is being written from Backstory Tavern on 1610 North Ave in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood where I'm currently enjoying an Old Style. What are you having on this Thirsty Thursday and what do you want to see in the next couple weeks?
I'd love to see the lads welcome in their new QB, although honestly I'm a little worried that the entire hope of the city is going to be put on his shoulders from the beginning, and it will crush him, just like every other Bears hopeful QB has been crushed. This one does feel different though, admittedly. Coming from an unbiased source.
Also, in the next couple weeks, I'd like to see a Malort paired with that Old Style, like a real Chicago fan. Cheers mate!
